BACKSTORY. ➞ [ lizards ] Discovered and taken in by the British government in the late 1930s after being the only one to survive a horrific train accident, Thomas Stuart became known as the first and only real case of immortality. Having been linked to mentions in history, Stuart is believed to be at least four hundred years old, a fact he refuses to give a clear answer on. An official birth record has yet to be discovered. Scientists have been able to cure certain diseases and clarify certain events thanks to his abilities. He has been linked directly to the assassination of at least three historical world leaders and has claimed to have caused two major blackouts in the Northeastern region of the United States for reasons unknown. Simply referred to as 'Theodore' in recently discovered journals of the royal court and residency papers, he is known to have been a permanent fixture for over 50 years in an asylum frequently visited in order to have his memory used to store various secrets and important information. He has claimed that was not the first time he has been utilized in that way. Recruited historians and scientists have come up with theories of his origins and complete role in historical events. However, due to his ability and lack of cooperation, they are incapable of extracting any viable information from him. He refuses to spill a single secret. His existence is on a need-to-know-basis. He has been held in a discrete and isolated base away from the public eye and is considered a valuable asset. He has escaped five times and utilized over 27 aliases in attempts to remove himself from captivity. He agreed to cooperate for medical research testing for the past five years under the condition that he get to leave the grounds. He is carefully monitored at all times. While not considered immediately dangerous, mental instability caused by the eidetic memory that coincides with his immortality has been displayed. He is known to suffer from chronic migraines, anxiety, and displays symptoms implying moderate to severe PTSD. When asked to describe his ability, the only comment provided was: "It's hell."
